The Clinical Nurse (CN) II provides Family-Centered Care as demonstrated by recognizing the patient, family and/or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient's preferences, values, and needs. Assumes active role in clinical education of patients, families and staff. Functions effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care. Integrates best current evidence with clinical expertise for delivery of optimal health care. Uses data to monitor the outcomes of care processes and uses improvement methods to test changes to continuously improve the quality and safety of health care systems. Minimizes risk of harm to patients and providers through both system effectiveness and individual performance. Uses information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
The Procedure Center at the Anschutz Campus is a 9 room unit that treats children and adolescents for a wide range of conditions. The unit supports 18 different surgical and medical specialties and performs more than 6,600 cases a year. We are a unique, yet impressive team comprised of bachelor's prepared nurses, certified surgical technicians, dental assistants, anesthesia technicians, anesthesia providers, advanced practice providers, physicians, and surgeons. The staff in the Procedure Center are proud to provide safe quality of care to our patients. We perform a wide variety of procedures including gastrointestinal procedures, dental procedures, burn procedures, eye procedures, gynecologic procedures, dermatologic procedures, neurology procedures, and many other types of procedures. Our nurses and surgical technologists receive extensive training and education in all procedures, promoting communication, teamwork, and critical thinking. We promote continued education and encourage staff to pursue certifications. Department Name: Anschutz Procedure Center
Job Status: full time, 40 hours per week, eligible for benefits
Shift: Four (4) 10-hour or Five (5) 8-hour shifts per week (to be discussed during interview). Shifts scheduled between the hours of 0700-1530 or 0700-1730 (also to be discussed during interview).
*Will be required to occasionally float to the North Campus (Broomfield) and South Campus (Highlands Ranch). Weeknight call required from end of shift until 1900 three to four times per month. Weekend call required from 0700-1530 once every four to six months. Rotating holiday call.
This position is eligible for relocation assistance, if relocating from 100 miles or greater.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Hourly Range: $39.88 to $59.82
