Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the NICU, providing high-level nursing care using the nursing process. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, with emphasis on safety, communication, and teamwork in a busy NICU setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active Texas licensure (or eligibility), BLS and NRP certifications, and at least 1 year of NICU RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Communicates with the team, patients and families to ensure understanding of information.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Provides medication administration and IV care.
• Uses the nursing process to deliver quality patient care through the episode of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Life Support Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
• Work experience: at least 1 year of applicable NICU RN experience

Your Job Responsibilities

Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment

by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.

Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant

other educational process.

Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates

Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.

Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and

IV administration.

and development.

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the

episode of care.

Other duties as assigned.
