Job summary

ERC Pathlight in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our overnight PRN team at our Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center residential facility. You will provide coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet each patient’s needs.

The role requires an active WA RN license, BLS, and strong communication and calmness under pressure. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and may participate in on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse License in WA (required).
• Basic Life Support certification (required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of nursing services per the patient’s treatment plan.
• Perform intake assessments and discharge education; manage orders as needed.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, NG tubes, and enteral feeding.
• Document all direct patient care in the EMR and supervise staff.
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to meet goals.
• Participate in team meetings and mentor new nursing staff.

What you’ll be doing:

Schedule: PRN (as-needed) overnight shift, 6:00pm-6:30am, 2 shifts/month and 2 on-call shifts/month. Working onsite at Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center’s residential facility in Seattle, WA. Active WA RN license required.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. They will partner with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and a consistently therapeutic milieu for all patients.

As a leader of the health care team, the RN provides professional nursing care, utilizing sound clinical judgement, in alignment with ERC Pathlight’s established standards of care, policies, and procedures. They are expected to remain flexible, demonstrate effective, efficient care while maintaining quality, in alignment with ERC Pathlight’s vision, mission, and strategic plan. All teammates are expected to treat patients, families, and co-workers with dignity and respect. The RN may be required to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Performs a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response to care in accordance with the patient’s treatment plan
  • Performs initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and education
  • Places, receives, and completes provider orders per ERCP policy
  • Administers medications via multiple routes in accordance with ERCP policy and provider orders
  • Performs phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point of care testing in accordance with ERCP policy and laboratory vendor protocols
  • Places/maintains nasogastric tubes and administers enteral feeding
  • Places/maintains intravenous access and administers intravenous fluids
  • Performs wound care
  • Documents all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical record
  • Supervises and delegates care to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians
• Communicates and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient
  • Ensures care provided aligns with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goals
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings regarding patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventions
  • Documents and reports to treatment team regarding patient status and progress
• Participates in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammates
• Responds to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on scene

Must haves:

• Active Registered Nurse License in state position is held (Required)
• Basic Life Support certification (Required)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing (Required)
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations (Required)
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (Required)

Bonus qualities:

• 1 year+ working with patients in the mental health field (Preferred)

The compensation range for this position is based upon candidate experience and market expectations.

Washington Pay Range

$43.20—$52.92 USD
