Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Pavilion 7 medical-surgical unit. The RN will provide patient-centered care on a 30-bed unit focused on orthopedic and neurological cases within Cooper's Comprehensive Stroke Center, working with a multidisciplinary team 24/7.

Expected to follow policies, communicate with staff and physicians, and uphold Cooper core values while delivering compassionate care and engaging in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NJ-RN license (Registered Nurse).
• Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
• Certain specialties may require advanced certification (ACLs, NALS, PALS).

Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Overview

Pavilion 7 is a medical-surgical unit that has a specialty focus on both orthopedic and neurological diagnoses. This 30-bed unit features 8 beds designed for our stroke population as part of Cooper University’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, as well as 3 EMU beds for seizure monitoring. Telemetry monitoring is available in 10 of the unit beds when needed. The nursing staff provides caring, individualized attention to all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with collaborative interdisciplinary team members.
