Job summary

Mercyhealth Hospital in Janesville, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts with variable hours, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage. You will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support the patient’s plan of care.

Candidates must have an ADN at hire (BSN preferred) and active RN licensure in the state. CPR/BLS is required within 90 days, with additional certifications as unit needs demand.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in patient care.
• Administers medications and treatments per policies and laws.
• Documents care according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes patient plans of care per physician orders.
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities.
• Escalates patient safety concerns as needed.
