Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care within the ICU setting.

You will apply the nursing process, uphold patient rights, and coordinate care with multiple departments to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact license, and active BLS/ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC certifications may be required based on unit needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
  • Maintain RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC and other unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
  • Maintains accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of care by other direct caregivers.
  • Coordinates patient care with other departments; maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical Requirements/Demands
  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
