Job summary

StrideCare is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to monitor and care for patients during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures. The role includes liaising with patients, healthcare providers, and families, and understanding the overall functions of IR/Vascular specialties.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in IR or Cath Lab, ACLS/BLS, and strong communication skills. This is a part-time nursing position with responsibilities across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing or BSN required.
• Two years of moderate sedation administration and recovery required.
• Two years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab preferred.
• Current nursing license in the relevant state.
• Minimum of six months of recent experience as a professional nurse.
• ACLS/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures, including checking vital signs.
• Analyze lab results and medical history.
• Provide education to the patient and family members.
• Insert and remove IV lines.
• Administer drugs, including moderate sedation.
• Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure.
• Oversee patient safety and comfort.
• Provide post-procedure monitoring.
• Other duties as assigned within scope of practice.

Job Summary:

The primary duty of the Registered Nurse is to monitor and care for the patient during Interventional Radiology and Vascular procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises care given by nonprofessional staff and provides instruction as needed.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures, including checking vital signs
• Analyze lab results and medical history
• Provide education to the patient and family members
• Insert and remove IV lines
• Administer drugs, including moderate sedation
• Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure
• Oversee the safety and comfort of patients
• Provide post-procedure monitoring
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

• Minimum of six months of recent experience as a professional nurse.
• ACLS/BLS required.
• Experience in Pre-Op/PACU, CV, and ICU preferred.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab preferred.
