Job summary

Valley Hope of Moundridge is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN 12-hour shifts in a residential treatment setting. The RN will provide compassionate medical care, support patients through detox and recovery, and align with our mission-driven care model designed for long-term recovery alongside dedicated staff.

Responsibilities

• Execute prescribed treatments and medication interventions.
• Provide nursing care per Valley Hope policies and procedures.
• Conduct detox admissions and monitor detox treatment plans.
• Record treatment activities and observations accurately and timely.
• Communicate with nursing and clinical staff about patient status.
• Respond to medical emergencies following established protocols.
• Maintain infection control and sanitary environment.
• Oversee non-licensed nursing staff as directed by the Nursing Director.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN): PRN - 12 hour shifts

Nurses typically work with patients from admission to discharge, providing supportive medical care over 30-45 days of treatment, offering a unique treatment approach, and rewarding work experience with hands on help for patients to heal and recover in real time.

Valley Hope of Moundridge, located just north of Wichita, has provided residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 2010.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's degree in nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

COMPENSATION:

• PRN Base Rate: $40/hr

Shift Differentials:

• Night: $4.25

JOB SUMMARY:

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope's medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients' treatment and status.
• Follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.).
• Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.

• Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
