IU Health in Bloomington is seeking an experienced RN to join our Primary Care team as an Ambulatory Triage Nurse. You will provide expert telephone triage for a busy clinic serving 10 providers, assess symptoms, determine care level, and coordinate scheduling in a collaborative primary care setting that includes weight management services. The role offers a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. schedule with no weekends/holidays and onsite training, with potential transition to remote work once

Competenze

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• RN must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• Two years of ambulatory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical procedures and equipment.
• Ability to coordinate multiple patient functions.
• Awareness of legal implications in patient care.
• Ability to assess patients without face‑to‑face interaction.

Join our Primary Care team as an RN Ambulatory Triage Nurse, providing expert telephone triage support for a busy clinic serving 10 providers at our Bloomington location on Clarizz Blvd. In this role, you will assess patient symptoms, determine the appropriate level of care, coordinate scheduling, and deliver patient guidance in a collaborative primary care environment that also includes specialized medical weight management services. This full-time position offers a Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) with no weekends or holidays, promoting excellent work-life balance. Training is completed onsite, with the opportunity to transition to remote work once competency is established and operational needs allow.

Qualifications:

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.


• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.


• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.


• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.


• Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.


• Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.


• Requires ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.


• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.


• Requires ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
