Job summary

Advocate Health in Huntersville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 36-hour weekly day shift at the 70158 Atrium Health Surgery Center: Huntersville - Ambulatory Surgery Center. The RN provides direct patient care, coordinates with the care team, and supports quality and safety initiatives.

Requires BSN preferred, RN license in state, BLS, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience. The role emphasizes clinical judgment, communication, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where providing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the team.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety.
• Evaluate patient and unit outcomes and take action as needed.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and delegation within the team.
• Pursue professional development and maintain certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ensure unbiased, patient-centered care.
• Appropriately delegate to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care with growth and development considerations.
