Job summary

The United Surgical Partners International, Inc. in Carrollton is hiring a Registered Nurse Preop PACU. This role provides continuous and high-quality nursing care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, with emphasis on safety, comfort, and privacy.

The position runs weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call duties. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited RN program, active Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), and preferably 1

Qualifications

• 1 year of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong nursing judgment and ability to prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous, high-quality nursing care for all patients.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms and with conscious sedation as needed.
• Deliver total nursing care to patients emerging from anesthesia; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate pre-discharge needs.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

Registered Nurse Preop PACU at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - Carrollton

The Registered Nurse Preop PACU provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 1 year of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
