Job summary

Mercy in Jennings, MO is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, ensure patient safety, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Education required: nursing degree (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN). Licensure: active MO RN license or compact licensure; BLS and unit-specific certifications may be required. Mercy offers strong benefits and a collaborative, compassionate work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintain an active RN license in Missouri or compact licensure where duties are performed and meet state requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, CPON, OCN, PEARS, C-EFM may be required based on unit/position.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience:

Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
