Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse who utilizes the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. The role involves coordinating patient care with multiple departments, ensuring patient rights and privacy, and upholding Mercy Service Standards and mission.

Ideal candidates have an RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, and possess BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days. Additional certifications may be required depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license current in hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of the listed certifications may be required based on position/unit: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience:

Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:

• ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
