Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health Voorhees Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a hospital-run outpatient setting. You will cover Pre/Post care with a focus on patient safety and efficient throughput across a four 10-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities include following policies, clear communication with the care team, and delivering high-quality patient care aligned with Cooper core values. This role requires an NLN-accredited nursing education and current NJ RN and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum of Pre/Post experience.
• Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
• Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).

Short Description

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for adesignated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

Overview

The Cooper Voorhees Surgery Center (VSC) is a hospital-run outpatient surgical center that follows the same clinical standards as Cooper’s main surgical facilities in Camden. As a non-24/7 center, all patients return home after their procedures, with any complications routed to Cooper in Camden or the nearest appropriate facility. VSC manages its own pre-admission screening and guides patients through registration, pre-op preparation, anesthesia and surgical care, and recovery in PACU before discharge. This streamlined, patient-focused environment supports high-quality same-day surgical care.
