Job summary

Novant Health in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team. You will perform preoperative assessments, screenings, testing and education to prepare patients for surgery.

Work closely with the perioperative team to identify concerns and coordinate care, ensuring safe and successful surgical outcomes. A BSN is preferred and active RN licensure in the appropriate state is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant RN experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required.
• Active licensure; follow reinstatement rules if inactive.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative phone screenings for patients scheduled for surgery.
• Review medical histories and identify patients who need additional in-person evaluations.
• Perform lab draws, EKGs, and other preoperative testing during clinic visits.
• Provide patient education and preoperative instructions to ensure patients are ready for surgery.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team. This position plays an important role in preparing patients for surgery through preoperative assessments, screenings, testing, and education. The RN works collaboratively with the perioperative team to identify potential concerns, coordinate care, and help ensure patients are prepared for safe surgical procedures.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Education:
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
