Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Winchester Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for the Post Surgery Unit. This full-time role supports patients recovering from various surgeries with 36 hours per week and night shifts.

Formación

• Graduate of a state-approved and/or accredited RN program.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• BSN strongly encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate post-surgical nursing care.
• Monitor patient status and recognize changes in condition, initiating interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders and hospital policies.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, APPs, therapists, case managers, and other care team members.
• Provide patient and family education regarding recovery, medications, wound care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Promote a safe, patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and patient experience.

In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote healing, recovery, and positive patient outcomes.Our Post Surgery nurses care for adult patients requiring post-operative monitoring, pain management, patient education, and discharge planning in a fast-paced acute care environment.### **Responsibilities*** Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for post-surgical patients.* Monitor patient status and recognize changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions.* Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.* Coordinate care with surgeons, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the care team.* Provide patient and family education regarding recovery, medications, wound care, and discharge instructions.* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record.* Promote a safe, patient-centered environment focused on quality outcomes and exceptional patient experience.### **Qualifications****Required*** Graduate of a state-approved and/or accredited RN program required. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
