Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PICU on-site in Worcester, MA, per diem. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge within a mixed shift.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, and supervising care within the unit, with a focus on safety and quality. Massachusetts licensure, BLS, and BSN preferred; ACLS as required by unit protocols.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification current or unit-specific as applicable.
• BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency.
