Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Staff Registered Nurse (RN) for our Surgical Services team in Maine. The RN will provide direct and indirect perioperative care across age groups, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Roles include coordinating patient care, supporting OR staff, ensuring safety and quality, and promoting efficient flow. A valid RN license and perioperative experience are required; a sign-on bonus is available for

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR (AORN) certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Streamlined Hiring Process

Responsibilities

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, with indirect accountability to the House Supervisor. The RN provides direct and indirect patient care throughout the perioperative process, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across all age groups, from neonates to older adults.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• 1. Current and valid state RN License.
• 2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 3. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 4. Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• 5. Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• 6. Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• 7. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $37.00 to $51.28 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
