Unity Hospital Imaging in Rochester, NY is seeking a Registered Nurse (Per Diem) for the Unity Imaging department. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting, performing assessments and coordinating with the care team.

Required: NY RN license, AS Nursing, BLS. Preference for acute care experience. On-site position with day/evening shifts. Pay range $35.35–$47.13 per hour.

Qualifications

  • AS nursing degree or diploma required.
  • New York RN license required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • One year of acute care or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
  • Communicates and documents assessment with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Develops and documents plan of care tailored to patient needs.
  • Follows safety, medication, and documentation policies.
  • Revises plan of care based on evaluations.
  • Completes at least one CRU form for Nursing Research.
  • Completes a minimum of 5 CNE/CEU hours per year.
  • Completes mandatory in-services and health screens timely.
  • Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (Per Diem) - Unity ImagingLocation: Unity Hospital Professional Office Building 1561 Long Pond Road Rochester, NYHours Per Week: 0Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-8pmSUMMARY:As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. You make a positivedifference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members and visitors – going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect and compassion.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical carePerforms initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals.Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation.Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately.Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States.ComplianceCompletes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner.Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Diploma or Associate’s Degree in NursingRegistered Nurse license in New York State.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.IV skills and prior acute care experience strongly preferred.,EDUCATION:AS: Nursing (Required)LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - NYS Office of ProfessionsNew York State Education Department (NYSED)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation.
