Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit to cover night shifts at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. The nurse will assess patients, coordinate care plans, and communicate with the care team and families.

Applicants must have an Associate's degree or BSN and IL nursing licensure, plus CPR certification. Per diem position with weekend hours and rotating holidays, oriented in the first week.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit - Nights
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
• Per Diem Level I , Must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks which includes 24 hours of time on weekends.
• Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am
• Rotating holidays
• Must be able to attend nursing orientation the first week of starting on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, from about 8:00am -4:30pm and the second week on Tuesday from 8:00am -4:30pm
• Required Travel: No
