Job summary

Summerlin Hospital, a 496-bed facility in the Valley Health System (VHS), seeks a dedicated RN to provide safe, competent nursing care in acute care, lead the healthcare team, and uphold Service Excellence.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Nevada RN license and current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required. BSN preferred. One year of acute care experience or completion of a specialty course within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and completion of a specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

About the Hospital

Summerlin Hospital, a 496‑bed facility in the Valley Health System (VHS), provides emergency, maternity, pediatrics, cardiovascular, surgical, women’s health, and oncology care. It is accredited Chest Pain PCI and Primary Stroke Center.

Job Summary

Provide safe, competent nursing care in acute care, lead the healthcare team, and uphold Service Excellence standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.


• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.


• Apply Patient Centered Care principles as the foundation of all nursing care.


• Oversee and guide employees under your supervision.


• Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

Education

License and Certification

• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.


• Current BLS Certification.


• Current ACLS (adult), PALS (pediatric) or NRP (neonatal) Certification as required by department.


• Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty, or department.

Other Requirements

Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
