Job summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to lead the Nursing Care team in the PEDI/PICU services with focus on newborns and adolescents.

You will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient-centered care, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NRP within 180 days of employment start date.
• ENPC to be completed within 1 year of hire.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Louisiana or compact state.
• BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead Nursing Care team and be accountable for patient-focused, outcome-oriented care.
• Develop competencies for functioning safely in PEDI/PICU Services.
• Provide care to newborns and adolescents as part of the pediatric care plan.

The staff nurse serves as the leader of the Nursing Care team who is ultimately responsible and accountable to the patient for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient focused, outcome-oriented care. Will develop competencies for functioning safely in all areas of PEDI/PICU Services. Nursing plan of care will include newborns and adolescents.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• NRP within 180 days of employment start date


• ENPC to be completed within 1 year of hire


• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Louisiana or compact state


• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
