Job summary

Incredible Health in Marietta, GA is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PCU/Stepdown unit to care for medium to high acuity patients, including post-cardiac and neurology cases. This role requires ADN or higher, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

  • ADN or higher nursing degree.
  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or similar acuity setting preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA.
  • Strong hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
  • Proficient with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients, monitoring vital signs and IV drips.
  • Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families on management of acute or chronic conditions and device use (BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen).
  • Maintain timely, accurate patient records per hospital policies.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems

  • Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
