Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts run 7a–7p or 7p–7a, and you can pick up as few as one shift per month or build a fuller schedule.

As part of FCN, you decide when to work, enjoy daily or weekly pay, and join a locally owned team with responsive local staffing.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment
