Job summary

AdventHealth Winter Garden in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families on conditions and self-care.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, current RN license, and at least 1 year of acute care experience. Eligible for a sign-on bonus and a strong benefits package, with a Christian mission guiding patient care.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and Florida or multistate eligibility.
• 1+ year in acute care hospital setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced unit and collaborate with team.

Job Description:

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000 for Full-Time Night Shift and up to $10,000 for Full-Time Day Shift. Shift: Day or Night Type: Full-Time Unit: PCU

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
