Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced unit. You will document clearly, hand off communications between caregivers, and participate in daily rounding using the AIDET model to improve outcomes.

The role requires an RN license, an Associate degree in nursing, and BLS; ACLS and NIHSS are required. This facility offers comprehensive benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Basic Life Support and clinical certifications are required (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS).

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Ensures safe and effective handoff communications and documentation between caregivers.
• Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow and discharge planning.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.

Job Description:

• Shift-Day Part Time
• Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Ensures safe and effective handoff communications and documentation between caregivers.
• Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes. Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone. Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
• Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes. Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
• Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance. Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services.
• Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiate consults as indicated, and identify patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs.Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Competence with the EPIC charting system [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• In nursing

Work Experience:

• PCU

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support-CPR Cert(BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)[Required]
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)[Required]

Pay Range:

$32.48 - $56.84
