Job summary

Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, TX is hiring an RN for a full-time day shift. You will assess patients, plan and administer treatments, monitor responses, and educate families, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requires Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and active RN license; BLS is required. Experience in a specialty area and EMR familiarity (Cerner/EPIC) are preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm (3 shifts per week)

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs.

• Knowledgeable in assigned areas of patient care including health promotion and maintenance.
• EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements).
• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred].
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred].
• EPIC [Preferred].

Education: Associate's of Nursing [Required] Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience: Experience in a specialty area(s) [Preferred]
