Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level nursing care from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current BLS certification, and an active Texas RN license or eligibility.

Qualified candidates will have at least 12 months of RN experience and be able to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient care, safety, and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Active Texas RN license or eligibility to practice.
• Minimum 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other care.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and ensures understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
• Provides timely medication administration and IV administration as needed.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
