Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level nursing care to assigned patients. You will apply the nursing process, coordinate care with the team, and ensure safe medication administration in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, active Texas RN license, BLS, and at least 12 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas.
• 12 months RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family education process.
• Communicates to the team, coworkers, patients, and families and confirms understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapy safely, accurately, and on time.
• Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth and development.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
