Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will advocate for patients and families while aligning with our mission and values to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission and during shifts, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families on plans and follow-up steps.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in nursing.
• 1+ years RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide prompt responses to patient requests and proactively anticipate patient needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up steps.
