Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Care Team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care using the nursing process and provide hands-on care to patients.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the interdisciplinary team from admission to discharge, educating patients and families, documenting accurately, and following evidence-based policies. Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license as RN.
• BLS-CPR Certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; ability to learn quickly, analyze problems and communicate effectively with superiors, peers, and others on a one-to-one basis.
• Requires emotional stability and resilience; must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight.
• Must be adaptable to change and receptive to delegated responsibilities; possesses basic problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team from admit to discharge.
• Educates patients and families, and documents appropriately.
• Follows evidence-based policies and procedures to guide nursing practice.
• Active participation in Unit PI plan and suggests improvements.
