Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Austin, TX. You will coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure excellent outcomes.

Seasonal staff work on a temporary basis with a minimum of 72 hours per pay period; seasonal assignments end March 31, 2027. No travel is required; on-site care across departments with a focus on safety and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required.
• No travel required.
• Seasonal staff are temporary and not eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs.
• Teaches patients and families about medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding and prepares patients for future self-management.
