Job summary

Great Plains Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Womens and Children team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care for patients in alignment with professional standards and organizational policies.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, coordinating with the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication. A licensed RN with BLS is required, with opportunity for professional growth in a supportive hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning needs. Review patient history and assessments with patient and family and ensure timely completion.
• Formulate and implement a comprehensive plan of care including discharge planning with input from patient, family, and health team.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing activities, delegating tasks as appropriate and ensuring communications across care providers.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record with clear, timely notes.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in education and mentorship within the unit.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of patient care quality indicators.
