Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. The role emphasizes collaboration with patients and families, education, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will work with inter-professional teams, participate in committees, and support continuous improvement in care delivery. Current NJ RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Commitment to patient-/family-centered care and collaboration with care partners.
• Knowledge of cultural diversity and respectful communication with patients and families.
• Strong communication skills for effective information exchange with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to assess patients and plan care using nursing processes.
• Knowledge of patient and family education techniques and applying education to care plans.
• Knowledge of medication administration and prescriptions for continuing treatment.
• Understanding discharge planning and arranging post-discharge follow-up.
• Documentation of health information meeting appropriate standards and confidentiality.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff following Jefferson Health values.
• Educates patients and families about learning priorities and care plans.
• Uses IT tools to communicate, monitor care, and support safe decision making.
• Works within inter-professional teams promoting open communication and shared decision-making.
• Supports ongoing professional growth and mentors staff as appropriate.
