Job summary

Rivers Health in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, seeks a full-time registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing with current WV license; BCLS required.
• One (1) year nursing experience preferred in area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial assessment of patient.
• Formulates a plan of care and nursing diagnosis based on the assessment.
• Assumes responsibility for overall quality of patient care.
• Ensures patient care is given according to the proficiency level of personnel.
• Respects patient privacy rights and values of individual patients.
• Provides guidance to personnel in their duties.
• Performs ongoing nursing assessments and updates patient care plans.
• Documents care accurately and educates patients and families.
• Assists with orientation of new employees.
• Assures emergency equipment is available and medications are safeguarded.
