Job summary

The NYS Office of Children and Family Services seeks an experienced registered nurse to join our pediatric/juvenile care teams in New York. You will develop and implement nursing care plans, provide first line medical care, and coordinate follow-ups with physicians and teams.

You will administer medications, maintain accurate health records, train staff, prepare clinical reports, and ensure compliance with NYS health regulations.

Qualifications

• Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• Eligibility for NY HELPS program as described in the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in nursing activities including care plan development and implementation.
• Provide first aid and emergency nursing care.
• Monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies.
• Attend team reviews and present information as needed.
• Meet documentation requirements and transcribe physicians' orders and health notes.
• Provide medication administration.
• Maintain medication and medical supply inventories.
• Participate in staff training.
• Prepare clinical and administrative reports.
• Additional duties discussed during interview.
