Responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients and evaluate plans with documentation.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals related to patient care.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments; consider age and culture.
• Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication records.
• Communicate plan of care to patient, family and team, complying with HIPAA.
• Assist with discharge planning.
• Preceptor to new staff and provide feedback.
• Adhere to policies and safeguard university assets.
• May expand duties as needed.
