Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our patient‑focused care team. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, ensuring evidence‑based practices and patient safety every step of the way.

You will coordinate with physicians, aides and other nurses, educate patients and families about disease processes and care plans, and participate in ongoing professional development to maintain high standards across our Magnet‑recognized

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures and standards.
• Maintains current nursing practice through ongoing education and journals.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must coordinate efforts of a care team.
• Must have valid NJ RN License and licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimens.
• Effectively manages rapidly changing situations.
• Participates in clinical decision‑making.
• Educates patient and family regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
