Job summary

The Valley Health System seeks a registered nurse to join Summerlin Hospital's inpatient care team in Nevada. Provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility policies and patient-centered care principles.

Responsibilities include clinical leadership, guiding the healthcare team, and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced setting. Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP as required, and BSN preferred are expected.

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.

Experience

One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.

License/Certification

Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty, or department.

Other

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Note

An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. The RN graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. The Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.
