NaphCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a part-time, 12-hour Friday night shift at the Hamilton County Justice Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

You will be part of a national correctional health team that emphasizes patient-centered care, with access to NetCE CEU/CME resources to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Ohio.
• Valid CPR card.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting; correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Position may require standing or walking for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Take and document patient history and vital signs.
• Perform and document all patient history and vital signs, mental health screenings and/or evaluations.
• Respond to and initiate care for medical and mental health emergencies.
• Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, examinations and/or treatment.
• Initiate and document prescribed protocol agreement.
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility.
• Observe and evaluate the performance of the licensed practical/vocational nursing staff.
