Job summary

Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services, a part-time RN position, invites qualified Alabama-licensed RNs to join its acute inpatient psychiatric care team in the Birmingham area. The role features 12-hour shifts every other Saturday and Sunday, with orientation sessions (8 a.m.–4 p.m.) spanning eight business days before start.

Qualifications

• AL RN License or eligibility to obtain.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Background check and drug screen required for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients.
• Maintain safety and quality of care on the unit.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating Sat/Sun schedule.
• Attend 8-business day orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
• One (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification.
• New hires are required to attend 7-days of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday + following Mon-Wed.
• Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug screen.
