Job summary

Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the PACU team. The RN will perform assessments, plan and implement patient care, and document actions in the Emergency Room context as needed.

The ideal candidate holds PA nursing licensure, an ADN (BSN preferred), and current BCLS; ACLS is required or orientation-based. Prior PACU or critical care experience is preferred, with a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferred.
• Current BCLS required or obtained by orientation.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards and evaluates patient care.
• Assists emergent patients and documents using the Emergency Room nursing tool.
• Identifies patient needs and documents appropriately; follows up with appropriate nursing actions.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Job Title: Registered Nurse Unit: PACU Employment Type: Part-Time, 24 hours per week Shift: 8- hour, rotating Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Position Purpose The RN works in a collaborative environment at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. As a Registered Nurse you will: Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Assist the emergent patient and documents accordingly on Emergency Room nursing tool. Identifies patient needs based on objective data and follows through with appropriate documentation. Implements appropriate Nursing actions to each patient that needs to be identified. Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment. Discusses with and includes patient an/or family significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents same. Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.

Requirements

Valid nursing license in the state of Pennsylvania Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor Degree in Nursing highly preferred Current BCLS required or obtained by completion of orientation. ACLS required or obtained by completion of orientation if Applicable to Area of Practice. Critical Care and/or PACU experience required.
