Job summary

SCA Health is actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU to cover overnight shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. THursdays and Fridays with an occasional Tuesday, the role focuses on assessing patients and crafting perianesthesia care plans.

You will hand off reports to teammates and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of nursing, an active state nursing license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are expected within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of PACU experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of BLS (or BCLS) within 90 days of employment or current BLS certification.
• Successful completion of ACLS within 90 days of employment or current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment or current PALS.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing it.
• Provide hand-off report to other teammates that is accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

We are actively hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) PACU. Overnight Observation PRN PACU Nurse. Thursdays and Fridays, with the occasional Tuesday. Shifts are 8p-8a.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing:
• Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of PACU experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia is preferred.
