Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks a Registered Nurse – PACU for per diem coverage. The RN will render professional nursing care, assess patient status, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Location is on-site with weekday hours and periodic weekend call and holiday rotations.

Requirements include an active Illinois RN license and an ADN or higher; BSN preferred within 5 years. CPR (BLS) is required, ACLS and PALS within 90 days of start.

• Render professional nursing care to provide quality patient care.

• Collaborate as a team member to meet unit goals and ensure safe care.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse - PACU
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Per Diem
• Hours:
  • 8a to 5:30p M-F w ability to come in earlier as needed.
  • Weekend Call Requirements every 5-6 wks (12 hr shifts - Days/Nights)
  • Holiday Rotation (12 hr shifts - Days/Nights)

What you will do:

Renders professional nursing care to provide quality patient care. Employing critical thinking skills, assesses patients? condition, recognizes deviations, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients? progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
• License/Certification:
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
  • Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
