Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or Four 10-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
Hours: Part-Time | 24 Hours per Week

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Pre-Op and PACU experience to join a dedicated perioperative team in Lancaster, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse who is committed to providing exceptional patient care before and after surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in preoperative and post-anesthesia care and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate recovery following anesthesia.
• Prepare patients for surgery by reviewing medical histories, verifying documentation, and providing education.
• Monitor patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), recognizing and responding to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and recovery expectations.
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Follow all infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Pre-Op and/or PACU nursing experience required.
• Current Pennsylvania RN License or Compact RN License required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Schedule

• Part-time, 24 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or Four 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) based on department needs.
