Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to render professional and technical nursing care for assigned patients, using the nursing process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Works toward population-specific care in alignment with regulatory standards.

There is a strong emphasis on supervising other team members, ongoing professional development, and adherence to nursing best practices. Experience in operating room settings and perioperative care is valued.

Formación

• Current MA RN license required.

• ACLS and BLS required.

Job Summary

The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current MA RN license required.


• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience is required.

Job Knowledge and Skills

• Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict management skills required.

Education and Experience

• -Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.


• -Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred.


• -Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting.


• -Completion of a Peri-operative Nursing Program preferred.


• -2 years OR experience required.


• -Orthopedic experience preferred.

Training Certifications and/or Registrations

• -CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment.


• -Evidence of continued education and professional development.


• -Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred.


• -AORN certificationpreferred.


• -ACLS and BLS required.
