Job summary

AIMS Locum Tenens seeks a Registered Nurse for Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center in Fort Meade, Maryland. The RN will provide direct patient care to diverse ages, perform assessments, administer treatments, and support urgent and routine medical needs in a DHA/Army setting.

Responsibilities include triage, venipuncture, IV therapy, EKGs, patient education, and documentation in EMR. Candidates must graduate from an accredited program, hold an active US RN license, and maintain BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license valid in the United States.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, obtain histories, monitor conditions, and plan care.
• Administer medications (oral, injectable, topical, IV) as ordered.
• Conduct triage by phone and in person using clinical protocols.
• Assist physicians with exams, tests, and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, IV therapy, catheterization, and EKGs.
• Respond to emergencies and operate resuscitation equipment.
• Coordinate ambulance transfers when needed.
• Educate patients and families on medications and disease management.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with the care team.
• Document assessments and treatments in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention activities.
