Halifax Health in the United States is seeking a Day shift Registered Nurse in Orthopedics. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care, directing and coordinating care with LPNs, CNAs and support staff to match patient needs and age-specific development.
Responsibilities include administration of medications, ongoing assessment, family education and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes and timely discharges.
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating as per the nursing process. The Registered Nurse is expected to direct, delegate, and coordinate all nursing care provided by the LPN, CNA, Patient Care Companion, and Unit Clerk consistent with their roles, responsibilities, and skill level. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and development level of the patient population being served.
