Job summary

Cayuga Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to support physicians and mid-level providers in the cardiology practice. The RN focuses on phone triage, patient care, and coordination of appointments, nurse visits, and related activities to ensure optimal patient service. Onsite shifts run 7:30am–5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Required is graduation from an accredited RN program with current NYS RN licensure. Cardiovascular knowledge and prior authorization familiarity are a plus; strong teamwork is

• Current NYS licensure as a registered nurse.
• Experience in cardiology or prior authorization knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional nursing care in accordance with NYS Nursing Practice Act.
• Carries out all assigned nursing procedures while maintaining calm demeanor during emergent situations.
• Provides patient education as requested by the provider.
• Prepares patient records for visits, including chart prep and nurse notes.
• Participates in scheduled team meetings to discuss clinical roles and patient concerns.

The RN's focus in the cardiology practice will be phone triage and you must have attention to detail and ability to prioritize the acuity of each situation. Other responsibility may be to assist in appointment scheduling, nurse visits and other related activities for optimal patient service.
