Universal Health Services’ Northwest Reno acute rehab unit is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time position. You will provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from stroke, injury, or other conditions, in a patient-centered care environment.

Responsibilities include assessing psychosocial and functional needs, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth transitions and effective discharge

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited RN program or NLN-approved program OR graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license and BLS certification.
• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.

Our acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or another disabling condition. We offer advanced treatment for a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and back injuries. All patients will experience private rooms, have access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from our qualified staff.

The adult behavioral health services offered is an expansion to our current 50 and older program at NNMC. The new program will offer behavioral health services to all adults 18 years and older. The department is managed through a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, CNAs, social workers, and therapists. Patients will experience an individualized care plan, inclusive of individual and family therapy, activities, medication management, and a 24-hour secure, compassionate environment.

This position is for our New Rehab Hospital located in Northwest Reno. We are looking for a dynamic Rehab Nurse that will help provide safe and compassionate care to our patients in the acute rehab environment.
